RCMP arrested a 22-year-old male suspect today in relation to the homicide of 27-year-old Terry Blanchette, who was found dead in his Blairmore home yesterday morning.He is a resident of that community, and his name is not being released.He is now in police custody for questioning also in relation to the disappearance of Terry’s 2-year-old daughter Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette, who was abducted from the home at 3:30 AM on Monday morning.- Advertisement -The investigation into the child’s whereabouts is on-going.Hailey’s mother, Cheyenne Dunbar, was in contact with police about the investigation prior to the Amber Alert being issued.Police have located a white van in the Blairmore area and are investigating if it is related to this case – it is too soon for police to know if this is the van that was reportedly seen near the Blanchette home early Monday morning.Advertisement The Amber Alert issued in relation to Hailey’s disappearance is still in effect, but will be renewed at 2:14 pm today as they only stay in effect for 24 hours.Anyone with information that might assist police is asked to call Crowsnest Pass RCMP at 403-562-2866.Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers with information at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
