first_imgGAA: There was delight for a number of former Donegal Ladies stars after they helped Scotland reach the All-Ireland Junior Final.Former Donegal players Karen Feeney, Olive McCafferty were members of the Donegal Ladies team that won the All-Ireland Intermediate title in 2010. McCafferty is still a member of the all-conquering Termon ladies team and will travel back for the county final against Glenfin next weekend.McCafferty is studying physiotherapy in Glasgow along with Karen Feeney who is from Gortahork.McCafferty played centre-half back for the Scottish side and delivered an accomplished display.Keeney had an outstanding game and scored 1-2 from midfield as they defeated Derry on a score-line of 1-13 to 2-05. That was the only Donegal connection on the side Annette Lloyd from Ballyshannon also played for the Scottish side and delivered an excellent performance.Lloyd is also in Glasgow and is studying for a PHD in psychology.A dislocated shoulder prevented St Eunan’s player Angie Callaghan from playing but she was still part of the panel on a historic weekend for Scottish Ladies GAA.We wish them all well in the All-Ireland final which will be played in Croke Park in a few weeks. DELIGHT FOR FORMER DONEGAL LADIES STARS AS THEY REACH ALL-IRELAND JUNIOR FINAL was last modified: September 7th, 2015 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:newsSportlast_img
