first_img Brad James Written by July 24, 2019 /Sports News – Local Dixie State Picked Fifth In RMAC By Coaches Tags: Adams State/Alex Lilliard/Black Hills State/Chadron State/Colorado Mesa/Colorado School of Mines/Colorado State-Pueblo/Denver Broncos UCHealth Center/Dixie State Football/Fort Lewis/New Mexico Highlands/Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Sei-J Lauago/South Dakota Mines/Western FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailDENVER-Wednesday, Dixie State football was picked fifth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference by the league’s coaches in the preseason poll at the Denver Broncos’ UCHealth Center as media day commenced.This poll consisted of the votes of all 11 head coaches although the coaches were not allowed to vote for their own squads.The Trailblazers netted 68 points, while the Colorado State-Pueblo Thunderwolves were picked to win the conference, netting 100 points.Colorado School of Mines was slated to finish second, with Chadron State in third place and Colorado Mesa in fourth place.South Dakota Mines was picked to finish sixth and New Mexico Highlands was slated to place seventh.Rounding out the standings were Adams State in eighth place, Black Hills State in ninth place, Western (Colorado) in 10th place and Fort Lewis was slated to place in last place at 11th overall, with 16 points.The coaches also selected two players to watch from each institution.For Dixie State, these student-athletes are tailback Sei-J Lauago and linebacker Alex Lilliard.last_img read more
